Am I able to remove joint credit cards from my credit report if I had no access to them?

Dora asked:
My mom has two joint credit cards with me that I never had access to. They are on my credit report, and together they have a $8,000+ balance. I fear that she might file for bankruptcy in the upcoming months. Am I able to request that those cards be taken off my report? Do I have to contact the credit card companies as well?

The only one who CAN remove them is the credit card company.
