Chase Credit Card Ripoff Scam (part 1)
In this video, I explain how corrupt of a financial institution Chase Bank is. This is not just my opinion, but the opinion of thousands of others that have filed complaints and class action lawsuits against this financial juggernaut. I missed one payment. I had a super record with this company for eight solid years. One missed payment brought my minimum payment up three times. I went from an 8.45% interest rate to 29.99%. When I called the company to negotiate, all three parties refused to change anything. In the past, all other creditors behaved amicably; not this company though. Boycott Chase at all costs, and tell your friends what their real plan is. They are preparing for the worst economic collapse in 2009, and by ridding themselves of customers, they limit their liabilities. After all, no job equals no way in hell to pay your minimum payments. I believe this is their plan. Check out some of these links: chase-bank.pissedconsumer.com www.consumeraffairs.com www.complaints.com Feel free to post your replies and any bad experience you’ve had with these parasitic predators!

With WMU i had a interest of 8.9 %. When this legal thefts took over WMU, my interest went straight up to 24.9 %. That means my minimum payment went from 70 to 290 in less than two months. That means that i have to pay TRIPLE the loan, which i will not, thanks to my good cousin lawyer.
NEVER, EVER AGAIN , i don’t want to deal with banks, specially the Zionist Chase. Just declare bankruptcy, the papers would not cost you more than 800.

Fuck Chase bank. They are thieves and prey on the public.

@jhanick Thanks for your kindness and compassion. Your comment reminds me of these people that — in the past — could care less if people lost their manufacturing jobs. After all, they were working in a white-collar position. Now, with the economy in shambles Sally Soccer Mom and her pussy-whipped husband are no longer able to shield themselves from this reality. Please don’t act as if these usury laws don’t affect you. Believe me, they do.

so you missed a payment and your rate gets increased (which this process is in your user agreement) and now you have a higher payment and you say this is a rip off? you signed the contract. if you don’t like it then cancel your account. it’s really that simple.

Spoke with supervisor Carol Wrinkle and she said “Oh no sir we received your full payment a day late and you were charged $39 late fee”. Oh really Carol at Chase you fucking **** whore, **** you! Boycott Chase they fucking suck, oh BTW **** Amazon as well because thats why I had them in the first place.

I just got off the phone with Daniel Ramirez with Chase and he told me that even though I have never made a late payment my interest rate has changed 4 times from 0% introductory rate, to 12.24%, to 19.99%, to 27.24%. He said nothing will be done it is what it is. Wack company. Hope they go out of business.

Chase did roughly the same thing to me. I never missed a payment and they raised my interest rate to 29.99 starting 1 January 2010. Needless to say, my minimum payment skyrocketed by more than $50, and I was unemployed at the time (not anymore, thankfully).

…And after I used my 401K to pay off the $14,000+, and I had a zero balance. They had the nerve to charge me an additional $259 in interest. Chase claims that interest was added during my statement period. Even though it was added 7 days after my balance was $0.

I bought a car and got approved by Chase Auto. Chase called me and said that I could move the debt to a Chase credit card and pay 4.99 APR. Big mistake. I moved the debt, was late a few times and now it’s a 29.99 APR. $600+ per month and over $400 was going to interest. My statement said paying the minimum $600+ would take 38 years on a balance just under $15000. I used my 401K to pay it off and at $600 per month, it’ll only take 2 years to pay it off…

i like that you base an ENTIRE corporation’s opinions and goals after talking to 3 people over the phone from their credit card department. If you knew anything about retail sales or marketing, you would know that it costs much more to get a new customer than to keep an existing one. chase is NOT a struggling bank like all of the others, so you can’t group it with them. The lady who told you you should take your business elsewhere probably hates her job and didn’t want to deal with you anymore.

I would encourage anyone who has a chase credit card, especially anyone who is paying the standard rate hike of 27.75 %, that if you are getting a tax return this year, to pay as much as they possibly can on their cards. THere is nowhere you can invest money that will give you that rate of return. Also, if you’re bank has the option of making weekly payments through automatic bill pay, set things up so 25% of your payment is paid out weekly. Once you pay one card, apply that to the next.

CHASE is dog ****. An evil bank that should be destroyed.

BANKS ARE NOT MAKING MONEY OFF OF CUSTOMERS ANYMORE……..GOT IT. They make their money on speculating on Wall Street…..WAKE UP AMERICA.

Chase, those *** holes changed my interest rate from 7.9% fixed that it had been for the past 15 years to a 11.99% rate. They refused to change it and all card dompanys are now charging 11.99 with a 5% transfer fee. I’m trying to transfer the money and get the hell away from those jerks.

The banks see the handwriting on the wall.
The “group of 30″ made recommendations that the FED adopted a new rule last week, and If you have any MONEY MARKET accounts - don’t count on being able to withdraw them “at will.” Managers can call a halt to on demand withdrawals anytime they smell a “run” about to happen.
So savers, too, should BEWARE.
Chris
Too true! Chase will give you no quarter - for even the smallest infraction!
I was apparently LUCKY to have built a pristine record over 20 years without a slip up, because they screwed me ROYALLY over their “courtesy policy” - a ploy many banks use to ENTRAP customers, while avoiding oversight from the FTC. ***** them AND their $3 Bil in taxpayer bailouts.

I made the paymet one day late. The minimum payment was $10 , that is what I owed, they charged me $15 for that. Called got a hispanic ***** on the line. So rude unimaginable. Must be the ones sleeping with the bosses. She said she is Mexico. The ***** can only nod to her boss.
The words she used was so rude. Waiting to cancel, I use the credit cards just for building up credit.
These people are the most ****** pigs you can imagine, if you look vulnerable the pigs will use all tricks on you.
Christopher
do you think the new law protect the consumers??no actually the new law is for the bank..
James
I **** BANKS
WE SHOULD REVOLT!!!

Unfortunately, the companies won’t really look @ how you’ve done before lol. The contracts currently (before the new credit card regulation) allowed any bank to change the rate to anything. Claiming “Default” and the interest rate would go to 29.99 or 36.99 is the highest I have seen. Read that fine print carefully. If the bank says they can change it for whatever reason they mean it! Although it will be much harder for them to do once the new regulation take hold.

My card is a Visa AFBA by 5 star bank. I was late two times and they waved my penalties - and they never raised my rates.
Thanks for the input. I’m very glad I never got a Chase Card.

Steve,
Exact same thing happened to me. I had mailed a payment, but wasn’t sure if it would get there on time. Went on the web to schedule a payment just in case. Made a mistake in punching in my account number. They charged a “late” payment and jacked my interest rate to 29.99%. My other payment got there ON TIME and they still wouldn’t budge on their RIP-OFF POLICIES! Paid the account off. I’m done with them and telling EVERYONE I KNOW!
Carl
part3 (sorry!)
This is where it gets weird…
I email them 7x pleading to resolve & FINALLY get somewhere. They tell me they will remove the late charge! I plead some more & “We will remove the finance charge!
All is good & then…
I get an email saying my card is on hold for fraudulent charges. I am told there has been over $3k in charges that I didn’t make! They cancel my card & tell me they will issue a new one.
Now what about the refunds Are those lost?
This all sounds fishy to me!
