I want to know what the bad about credit card gift cards, like visa and master cards. The one they sell in stores. Do you have to pat money to activate and then add money?

Nothing is wrong with the credit card gift cards but you do have to pay a card activation fee. Here in California that fee is $4.95, that’s in addition to the amount you get on the card. So that kind of stinks.

No, they are loaded with what ever amount you want and when it is spent, that is it. The downside is that you can lose the card or when it get low you don’t use it because it only has a couple of dollars on it. That is what gift card companies count on. At least 10% of all gift cards are never used.
