What are good credit cards that have great rewards?

I only have a Visa debit card at the present, and I’m exploring credit cards to see which ones I should open that have good rewards.

My current list consists of a Shell Mastercard (save 5% on gas), a Chase Freedom Visa Card, and a Kroger Mastercard (to get money back on groceries). What do you think? Is there anything else you would recommend?

    The shell card probably has limits. Chase is pretty good except they turned it into points now. $500 on groceries and you only get or $1000 anywhere else for $5 thats a rip off.

    If you spend more than $6500 a year go for blue cash from american express.
